Every time when you visit a website, you just open and start doing what you want
but have you ever thought that the website you are visiting is safe or not, means
if you sharing your information with that website that is secure or not.
the only thing that we know to see this is to see HTTP and HTTPS on opening any website.
not everyone is familiar with
The Full Form of HTTP is Hyper Text Transfer Protocol.
It provides a standard for Web Browsers,
that allow users to exchange information from the World Wide Web.
You can understand from the pictures
this is HTTPS page
and this is HTTP page
Actually, When we load an HTTP page, our connection to the site is not encrypted. This means anyone on the network can look at any information going back and forth, or even modify the contents of the site before it gets to you.
While with HTTPS, our connection to the site is encrypted, so the Hackers are locked out, and information (like passwords or debit & credit card info) will be safe when sent to the site.
but on visiting websites, we just forget all this and just share the information..
But now Chrome will have more security features in the new version and this news is posted by
Emily Schechter, Chrome Security Product manager.
so this will be the Milestone for Chrome security because in the new version Chrome will mark
HTTP as not secure
now “not secure” warning helps us to understand that the site is secure or not.
Thanks for reading.
